Another challenge...

Okay, so I didn't quite get to the end of the blog-a-day challenge by the end of the month. But perhaps, like the knitting, the latch hook and the crochet of my childhood, I was destined to never finish. In all honesty, I managed to get further than I expected. And who knows, maybe I'll get around to finishing those last few posts sometime. (And maybe I'll finish knitting that doll's jumper for Blondie one day too...)

BUT for April, I've started a new challenge. I think this one will be a bit easier for me. It's NaPoWriMo! And if you're wondering what the diggins that is, here, I stole this from the NaPoWriMo website "About" page:

NaPoWriMo, or National Poetry Writing Month, is an annual project in which participating poets attempt to write a poem a day for the month of April.
NaPoWriMo was founded in 2003, when poet Maureen Thorson decided to take up the challenge (modeled after NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month), and challenged other poets to join her. Since then, the number of participants has gotten larger every year, and many writers’ organizations, local, national and even international, organize NaPoWriMo activities.
Need more information? See the Wikipedia entry for NaPoWriMo!
So, if you'd like to join me, ladies and gentlemen, start your pens and pencils! You can just write a poem a day, of course, or you can add your blog to the Participant's Sites by registering here.
Now, I know I'm already officially a day behind because I've been down the Mornington Peninsula at an amazing wedding but the site is run out of the USA so I've got some wiggle room and really, who's going to be checking up on me anyway? Well, except you... and me. Besides, I've already decided that I'll write a poem everyday but I probably won't post them the same day because I like to edit & think about them before sharing.
Okay, let's get poeming!
